There's a lot of room for improvement in the code that runs this blog, preposter.us. For many reasons, I never get around to fixing most of them, but maybe writing them down somewhere public will help.
* Get off Python 2
* Re-write in Go
* Handle plain text emails well
* Review accessibility
* Strip superfluous HTML from HTML emails
* Fix the weird "editable" bug
* Fix the "delete bug"
* Eliminate the "need" for Javascript
* Switch to two columns instead of three (at least when there's not enough text to need three)
* Make custom/personalized domains easier
* Add full posts to RSS feed
* Make "rebuild" less dumb and less destructive
* Handle HTML lists properly
* Revisit support for custom CSS
* Include more instructions in the emails (i.e.: how to edit/delete a post instructions included in the new post email, etc.)
* Explore "headless mode"
* Improve podcast support
That's probably enough for now. Just getting it off Python 2 would make it a lot easier to do the rest of these things, but like anything it's just really hard to find the time to spend on something that works, even if it doesn't work perfectly.
